Add an Event Layer
|
Event layers can be added to the map to show relevant saved searches.
TIP: See Create an Event Layer for a quick start guide on this subject.
- There are two ways to access the event layer page: click Event Layers from the main toolbar in your Cityworks site, or, click the map, click Event Layer Configuration on the Navigation panel.
- Select a saved search in the Search Definitions panel. You can select multiple saved searches if desired.
- Click Add.
The saved search is listed as an event layer in the Event Layers panel. In order for the event layer to be displayed on the map, it must be enabled. See Enable an Event Layer for more information.
See Search Definitions Fields for more information on these fields.
NOTE: While GIS saved searches can be displayed as event layers on the map like other saved searches, it is important to note that GIS saved searches are actually Esri feature service layers with a filter applied. Their display on the map is dependent on the feature service from Esri. See How to Use GIS Saved Searches as Event Layers on MyCityworks for more information.
